Instructor - Dean Regan, is the Director of governance training and an experienced corporate governance and business ethics lecturer. He is a practising barrister in the area of management company litigation. A sole practitioner, he has advised and represented Owners' Management Companies at all levels of litigation and dispute resolution for the past ten years. Mr Regan has extensive expertise in regulatory advise, service charge recovery, public liability and common area transfer issues. Mr Regan is a member of the Bar of Ireland.

Outcomes - 

By the end of the workshop participants will:

• Understand the different stages of service charges and the effect of same on the OMC company, the unit owner and the landlord;
• Consider service charge collection under the head-lease, the Multi-unit Development Act, 2011, and the Companies Act, 2014;
• Be able to put in place a service charge recovery policy for your Owners' Management Company.
