Director Induction Training Day

Course participants will be provided with guidance and training on their role as an OMC voluntary director, the obligations arising under the role and the information necessary to address some of the key challenges facing owners’ management companies in Ireland. This Induction Course is aimed at New Directors and will address the key governance and management aspects of the Role of Director of an OMC, including:-

• Principles of good governance for Owners’ Management Companies.
• Structure of the owners’ management, effective governance practices and corporate control.
• Directors' obligations.
• The statutory and common law duties of an OMC Director.
• Company documents. Consideration of the importance of company documents, articles of association and head-leases and the powers available to directors under such documents;
• Service charges; the administration and setting of service charges and mechanisms for recovery. 
• The Company Meeting and management of common areas.
