Certificate in Owners’ Management Company governance and management

Format

This course is delivered one evening per week over a 12 week period (total contact hours 24). The course aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the rules and guidelines for the operation and control of owners’ management companies in Ireland. Participants will be exposed to the legal regulations and structures necessary for good governance and management of an OMC company.

Key learning outcomes

On completion of the course participants will be able to identify and explain the main themes, perspectives and issues facing owners’ management companies in Ireland. Evaluate and address appropriate responses to issues such as levying service charges, recovery of service charge arrears, liability of common areas, legacy construction issues and management of multi-unit estates. Understand and outline the best practice for governance and management of an owners’ management companies.

Who should attend

All officers of owner’s management companies. All property management agents and stakeholders who are involved in the everyday management and decision making process of an owners’ management company.
